Third Reader is currently accepting submissions of short stories, flash fiction and poetry for its third issue, scheduled for publication in January, 2009. The deadline for submission is December 31, 2008.

Brian Brunner, whose poetry was published in the Summer issue of Third Reader, and who is also a quarterback at Central Michigan University, set a school record on Nov. 1 with 485 yards passing in a victory over Indiana. Congratulations, Brian!
Third Reader Publisher Joe Ponepinto's story "Friendship Bread" will be in the November 2008 issue of Peeks&Valleys: a Southern Journal. His story "Symbiosis" is in the current Soundings Review. "Being Enormous" has been accepted for the inaugural issue of Tobybashi, due to be printed in late fall of 2008. The story "The Art of Waiting" appeared in the June issue of The Summerset Review, a Long Island-based literary journal, and has been selected for inclusion in their annual print anthology.
